Prisoner of Hope
Words and Music by Abigail Miller

Once
I was bound in sin,
Without a light of hope within,
A prisoner of all that I despised.
Until one glorious day, when Jesus tore my bars away,
He lifted me, and opened up my eyes!
And He gave me His love, perfect rest from above,
And I'll never want to be set free again.
Chorus:
(For
now I'm) a prisoner, a prisoner of hope,
Bound
by cords of love and chains of peace.
Jesus
has made me free, His prisoner I'll always be,
And
from His bonds I'll never seek release.
He
gives to me new life I'd never known.
I'm
willingly a prisoner of hope.
If you are bound in sin, without a light of hope within,
A prisoner of all that you despise,
Come to the cross today, let Jesus tear your bars away,
He'll lift you up and open up your eyes,
Oh, He offers His love, perfect rest from above,
And you'll never want to be set free again.
Chorus:
(Come
be) a prisoner, a prisoner of hope,
Bound
by cords of love and chains of peace.
Jesus
has made me free, His prisoner I'll always be,
And
from His bonds I'll never seek release.
He
gives to me new life I'd never known.
I'm
willingly a prisoner of hope.
Oh, come and be a prisoner of hope.
