Track 1 - Soldier On

Words and music by Abigail Miller

Chorus:
Soldier on, ’til the battle’s over,
Soldier on, ’til the vict’ry’s won,
Soldier on, ’til Heaven’s portals are in view,
Soldier on, ’til the Savior comes.

If you follow in the way, and the Master you obey,
You’re a soldier, you’re enlisted in the fight.
In the hardness of this life, we endure the pain and strife.
Our reward will meet us on the path of life.

Chorus

Many souls have gone before in the service of the Lord,
They have fought the fight and now are gone to rest.
We who follow in their track must go on and not look back,
‘Til the time when we shall be forever blessed.

Chorus

Track 2 - The Great I Am Still Is

Words and music by Phil Cross and Twila LaBar, ©2006 by Bridge Building, a division of Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing/Upright Grand Music/Cameron Hill Music (BMI)

Israel’s Deliverer, Divider of the sea,
Conqueror of Jericho, Jehovah set them free,
Some think of these as fables, with no relevance today,
But God’s past power never passed away.

Chorus:
The Great I Am still is.
The heavens and the earth are His.
He’s the merciful Almighty, forever holy,
In everything we must remember this.
The Great I Am still is.

To all the walking wounded ones, who seek to make things right,
For stranded souls in darkness, who long to see the light,
For those who tread a troubled road and feel they can’t go on,
There’s a promise we can stand upon!

Chorus

I can stand in every test,
For the Great I Am still is.
I can lose it all and still be blessed,
For the Great I Am still is.
I’m a sinner saved by grace because,
The Great I Am still is.
And I’m not today what I once was,
For the Great I Am still is.

Chorus

Track 3 - All Things Work Together

Words and music by Abigail Miller

Chorus:
All things work together for our good,
Even when it doesn’t go the way we think it should.
Forget His little children, the Father never could,
All things work together for our good.

He can move a mountain in His time,
He can take you up a hill too steep for you to climb.
He can make things beautiful that once were dark and dim,
So listen to His promise, and always trust in Him.

Chorus

He’s my rock when stormy waters roll.
I can trust Him to be true, the Keeper of my soul.
Call on Him and He will do great and mighty deeds.
Before we even ask Him, our Father knows our needs.

Chorus

Track 4 - More Faithful

Words and music by Abigail Miller

In the quiet morning light, blessings spread before my sight,
And for safety through the night, I thank you, Lord.
For Your presence always there, all your mercy and Your care,
I lift my heart to You, in a simple prayer.

Chorus:
Lord, I want to be more faithful, more true, more devoted, Lord, to You.
I want to be more holy, more sincere, O, Lord, give me ears to hear.
May I feel your presence near, and may I be more faithful.

In the busy-ness of time, as the mounting pressures climb,
Let me still my hurried mind and thank You, Lord.
For Your keeping all day through, loving-kindness ever new,
I pause to lift my heart, and say to You…

Chorus

In the stillness of the night, tho’ the world is far from right,
For the gifts of hope and light, I thank You, Lord.
And as I review the day, seeing how I missed the way,
I turn once more to You, and humbly pray…

Chorus

Faithful, like You

Track 5 - The Traveler's Song

Words and music by Abigail Miller

I’d like a house outside of town,
Away from all that traffic sound,
A quiet place where I could drown in thought,
A place to gather reveries, to rest my mind upon the breeze,
And look upon the treasures time has brought…

Chorus:
But my Savior walked upon the crowded byways.
Along the highways, He made His way.
And the servant must be ever as his Master,
To follow after, to serve and pray.

Someday there’ll be a rest for me
When time is just a memory,
And all this life is history long past.
I’ll set my foot on Heaven’s shore,
Where sin and sadness are no more,
And then I’ll know I’ve reached my home at last.

Chorus

Tag: So I’ll walk with Him upon the crowded byways.
Along the highways, I’ll go His way.
For the servant must be ever as her Master,
To follow after, to serve and pray.
I’ll follow after, I’ll serve and pray.

Track 6 - Remember the Cross

Words and music by Abigail Miller

Sometimes my load seems too heavy to bear,
I look for friends and there’s nobody there.
When I am down and my spirit is low,
There is a secret I know.

Chorus:
When I remember the cross that He bore
When He walked down that Calvary road.
When I remember the crown that He wore–
How He stumbled, so heavy the load.
When I think about the sacrifice that Jesus made that day,
Then it doesn’t seem so much to ask to give my life away.
My burden eases and my faith increases to bear any pain or loss
When I remember the cross.

If you are struggling and troubles abound,
I’d like to give you the hope I have found.
Knowing that Jesus did so much for me
Changes the way that I see.

Chorus

Bridge: In the cross, in the cross, be my glory ever. Ever!

Chorus

Track 7 - Arise, My Love/Hallelujah to the Lamb Medley

Arise, My Love” words and music by Eddie Carswell, copyright with Lyrics ©Sony/ATV Music Publishing Company. “Hallelujah to the Lamb” words and music by Don Moen, Debby Graafsma, published by Integrity Music. Arr. Abigail Miller.

Not a word was heard at the tomb that day,
Just shuffling soldiers’ feet as they guarded the grave.
One day, two days, three days had passed.
Could it be that Jesus had breathed His last?

Could it be that His Father had forsaken Him?
Turned His back on His Son, despising our sin?
All Hell seemed to whisper, “Forget Him, He’s dead.”
Then the Father looked down on His Son and said,

Chorus:
“Arise, My Love, arise, My Love.
The grave no longer has a hold on You.
No more Death’s sting, no more suffering!
Arise, arise, My Love.”

The earth trembled, and the tomb began to shake,
And like lightning from Heaven, the stone was rolled away.
And as dead men the guards, they all stood there in fright,
As the power of Love displayed its might.

Then suddenly a melody filled the air,
Riding wings of wind, it was everywhere.
The words all Creation had been longing to hear.
The sweet sound of vict’ry so loud and clear.

Chorus

Sin, where are your shackles?
Death, where is your sting?
Hell has been defeated.
The grave could not hold the King!

Chorus

((Why seek ye the living among the dead?
He is not here, for He is risen!))

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah to the Lamb!
Hallelujah, hallelujah, by the blood of Christ we stand!
Every tongue, every tribe, every people, every land,
Giving glory, giving honor, giving praise unto the Lamb of God!

(Repeat with descant)
Every knee shall bow,
Every tongue confess,
You are Lord of all, hallelujah…

Hallelujah to the Lamb,
He lives!!

Track 8 - Better Things

Words and music by Abigail Miller

Our God created all things good,
But fallen man His grace withstood.
Like sheep we all have gone astray.
He calls us to His better way.

He gave His Son for man to die,
To buy us back so you and I
Could go to live with Him on high,
That better place beyond the sky.

So if your trouble’s got you down,
You worry and you wear a frown,
Remember what Love’s promise brings,
For God is planning better things.

Chorus:
Better things than we have seen,
Better things than we have dreamed.
Rejoice, and let your heart take wings!
For God is planning better things.

So, rejoice and let your heart be light.
On heav’nly treasures set your sight.
Each faithful foll’wer knows and sings
That God is planning better things.

Chorus

Eye has not seen, ear has not heard,
Neither has entered into the heart of man
What God has prepared for them that love Him!
Come and rejoice in His love!

Chorus

Yes, God is planning better things.
Our God is planning better things.

Track 9 - Ears to Hear

Words and music by Abigail Miller

Give us ears to hear, Lord, give us ears to hear.
Let the light of God’s Word make the pathway clear.
Make my heart to listen with Your presence near.
Give us ears to hear, Lord, give us ears to hear.

Give us eyes to see, Lord, give us eyes to see.
Let Your perfect wisdom shine its light in me.
Make my heart to know You, by Your truth set free.
Give us eyes to see, Lord, give us eyes to see.

Give us lips to praise, Lord, give us lips to praise.
For Your holy honor let our hand be raised.
Make my heart to worship in my darkest days.
Give us lips to praise, Lord, give us lips to praise.

Give us strength to stand, Lord, give us strength to stand.
Leaning on Your word, Lord, holding to Your hand.
May my heart be steadfast—follow Your command.
Give us strength to stand, Lord, gives us strength to stand.

Tag:
Give us ears to hear, eyes to see,
Lips to praise, strength to stand.
Give us ears to hear, Lord,
Ears to hear.

Track 10 - Music in His Hands

Words and music by Abigail Miller

Dusty wood,
Raveled strings,
Just a pile of useless things,
Lying on a workroom floor,
What could these be useful for?

‘Til He comes,
With His hands,
Silently, He works His plans,
Makes an instrument appear,
Makes His purpose clear.

Chorus:
For the Master crafts with music in His hands.
He guides His tools so deftly, and He always understands.
He’s not hasty or mistaken in His patterns or His plans,
For the Master crafts with music in His hands.

Are you there?
On that floor?
Wondering what you’re useful for?
Wait and see what He will do.
He has certain plans for you.

Yield to Him,
In His time,
He will make His beauty shine
Through each instrument He makes.
He makes no mistakes!

Chorus

Bridge:
He knows the final goal
As each instrument is tried.
He never ceases working
Until He is satisfied!

Chorus

Track 11 - There's a Gladness

Words and music by Abigail Miller

There’s a gladness in surrender that is found no other way.
There’s a joy in giving in–fin’lly saying, “I’ll obey.”
There’s a hope that rises up in every heart as it lays down.
There’s a gladness in surrender. Nowhere else can it be found.

There’s a gladness in surrender to the One Who made us free.
There’s a joy in willing bondage, saying, “Here, Lord, please take me.”
There’s a hope that soars above the deepest fear, the darkest woe.
There’s a gladness in surrender. All who follow see and know.

There’s a gladness in surrender, letting go of my control.
There’s a joy in calm acceptance, in the Keeper of my soul.
There’s a hope just like a light that’s leading on to endless day,
Ever broader, ever deeper, on the glad surrendered way.

Tag:
There’s a hope that rises up in every heart as it lays down.
There’s a gladness in surrender. Nowhere else can it be found.
Nowhere else can it be found.

Track 12 - Farther On

Public domain; First printed 1877

As we travel through the desert,
Storms beset us by the way,
But beyond the river Jordan
Lies a field of endless day.

Chorus:
Farther on, still go farther,
Count the milestones one by one.
Jesus will forsake you never.
It is better farther on.

O, my brother, are you weary
Of the roughness of the way?
Does your strength begin to fail you,
And your vigor to decay?

Chorus

Jesus, Jesus will go with you,
He will lead you to the throne,
He, Who dyed His garments for you,
And the winepress wrought alone.

Chorus

At my grave, O, still be singing,
Though you weep for one that’s gone.
Sing it as we once did sing it,
It is better farther on.

Chorus
